Guidelines for authors

1. Sympisium presentation

The abstract, keywords, and bibliographic references should not exceed 12,000 characters (excluding spaces). Please click on this Form to submit your proposal.

 Texts must conform to the following formatting standards:

  • A title that clearly and precisely describes the content or purpose of the text (maximum 150 characters or 20-25 words).

  • An abstract of 350 to 500 words maximum

  • For a presentation of research results, the abstract should provide an overview of the problem, the theoretical framework, the methodological framework and the results of the study.

  • For a presentation related to a theoretical reflection, the abstract must present the problem, the key concepts analyzed, and the author's thesis.

  • 3 to 5 keywords.

  • Include 5 to 10 references that informed the research or conceptual analysis. â€‹

​Selection criteria for symposium proposals

  • The abstract addresses at least one of the conference’s core topics

  • The research methodology of the study is consistent.

  • The results have relevant theoretical and/or practical implications.​

​2. Poster presentation​j

Visual and Communication Quality of the Poster

  • Common formats: 48 inches wide x 36 inches high (122 cm x 91 cm) in landscape orientation, or 36 inches wide x 48 inches high (91 cm x 122 cm) in portrait orientation.

  • Layout must be spacious, visually appealing, and professional.

  • Use legible headings, contrasting colors, and relevant visuals (images, diagrams).

  • Ensure a good text-to-image balance: limit text and avoid long paragraphs.

  • Include clear and well-captioned graphics, tables, diagrams, and images.

  • Use a consistent and non-distracting color palette.

  • Apply a clear visual hierarchy that guides the viewer’s eye from top to bottom and left to right.

Selection criteria for symposium posters

Clarity of the Message

  • The poster topic must align with one or more of the themes or tracks of the symposium.

  • The poster may be presented in French, English, or bilingually.

  • The language used must be clear, concise, and appropriate for the symposium audience.

  • Avoid unnecessary jargon; prioritize accessible and precise phrasing.
